Normansfield Hospital
Normansfield Hospital is the last place i am visiting in this project. The Hospital today has suffered over 10 years of neglect badly, arson has destroyed. Vandals have been systematically removing all the windows, the easier to access ground floor areas have received the brunt of these attacks.
During the 1980s the hospital was becoming unsuitable for modern needs and began to move towards closure with the gradual shutting down of the wards. By 1999 only the laundry remained in use. By the time I visited the entire site was empty. I enjoyed taking photographs of this building because the only remains left inside the building where things i didnt expect to see in a hospital, such as a hairdressers. This set of photographs are the only set i have'nt minipulated on photoshop as i like them how they are.
